I just started watching Mad Men and I gotta thank the production for keep on perpetrating stereotypes about italians. I mean, I’m fine with the mobster ones and with hearing actors speaking italian with absurd accents (what should Latinos say, then..?), but this worldwide idea that all italian men are homosexuals is just ridiculous. Is not even easy to be one around here. We have the worst laws about minorities and a wide history of macho-traditionalism and homophobia, starting probably with the typical: “Leonardo was a genius BUT apparently gay, too”, like the two things don’t match.

Honestly, how do you think we had been reproducing since Renaissance..?
